Account analytics
Free codes send customers straight to Google. Ranknua accounts add tracked codes per placement and analytics.
In short
What does this actually do?
Customers point their phone camera at it and land on the review box for your business, with the stars ready to tap. They skip searching for you and can't end up on the wrong listing.
This one also lets you add your logo and colours, checks the code will scan before you print, and exports in UK and Irish paper sizes. With a free Ranknua account, every sign gets its own tracked code so you can see which placement actually earns reviews.

Four steps
Ready to print in four steps.
- 01
Find your listing
Paste your Google review link or Place ID so the code opens the right business.
- 02
Open the Design Studio
Pick an industry template, colours, your logo and the wording.
- 03
Check it scans
The live score warns you about low contrast, small sizes or a logo that's too big.
- 04
Download and print
Print-ready PNG, SVG or A4 PDF in UK and Irish paper sizes.

Example layout
Use cases
How each trade uses it.
Barbers and hair salons
Mirror sticker at the station and a card at the till — scanned while paying or booking the next cut.
Beauty and nail salons
Small card on the nail desk or treatment-room exit, plus a follow-up message the same evening.
Plumbers and heating
Sticker on the boiler or invoice, and a message once the job's signed off — not before the work is finished.
Cleaners
"We were here" leave-behind card on the kitchen counter after the clean.
Restaurants and cafés
Bottom of the bill and table tents. Avoid the menu — it gets scanned before the meal is over.
Garages and car repair
Counter sign at collection and a code on the service summary.
Physios and clinics
Front-desk checkout only. Never collect health details on review pages.
Trades and builders
Van door, completion invoice and a message the day after sign-off.
Placement
Good spots, poor spots, no-go spots.
- Works best
- Anything handed over once the job is done: the receipt, the invoice, an aftercare card, a card left on the counter after a home visit, plus a personal message later that day.
- Worth a go
- The till, the van, the table and the name badge — seen at the right moment, but easy to walk past.
- Rarely scanned
- Wall posters out of phone reach, business cards, menus and email footers. People see them, but rarely scan.
- Don't
- Anywhere the visit isn't over yet, anywhere near a reward, or held back for the customers you think are pleased.
Troubleshooting
Not scanning? Check these first.
1. It opens the wrong business
Two places have similar names. Search again with your street or town and check the address under the name before you pick it.
2. It opens Google search, not the review box
The code is pointing at a search, not your listing. Pick your business again here; a good link begins search.google.com/local/writereview.
3. It won't scan once printed
Usually size or colour. Print it 2.5 cm across or bigger, keep the code dark on a pale background, and skip shiny laminate.
4. Nothing happens on an older phone
Test with the built-in camera on a recent iPhone or Android. Older third-party scanner apps sometimes fail.
Google's rules
Stays on the right side of Google.
Google is happy for you to ask with a sign. It draws the line at rewards, made-up reviews and only asking the happy ones, and it can strip reviews from profiles that cross it.
Read the compliance guideAsk after a real visit
Make reviewing easier for customers who've actually used you.
Ask everyone the same way
Never show the code only to customers who seem happy.
No rewards
No discounts, draws or freebies for a review.
No ranking promises
More real reviews help, but nobody can guarantee a Maps position.
